About teaching in the Philosophy Department at Worcester State University:

We are a small, pluralist, collegial department that strives to offer a wide range of philosophy courses to the entire university community. We share a commitment to realizing critical pedagogical practices in all of our courses. We strive to be generalists in teaching philosophy even as many of us conduct active research programs in specialized, often interdisciplinary, areas, and we support each other in these pursuits. The department plays a significant role in campus and community activism and in the creation and growth of interdisciplinary programming campus-wide: members regularly teach and take leadership roles in Ethnic Studies, Women's Studies, and Liberal Studies.
