The Department of Philosophy at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2020. Areas of specialization and teaching competence are open but we are seeking a candidate whose research and teaching interests complement the strengths of the Bryn Mawr/Haverford departments. Complementary areas include (but are not limited to): Kant, Phenomenology, History of Modern Philosophy, History of Continental Philosophy, Aesthetics, Comparative Philosophy, and Philosophy of Religion. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including contributing to college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the Emily Balch Seminars. Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
