Job description

The Department of Classics at Princeton University announces a position in Ancient Philosophy at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-track), open to anyone specializing in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. The successful candidate will be a member of the Joint Interdisciplinary Program in Classical Philosophy and work with students in both the Department of Classics and the Department of Philosophy. Teaching expectations will include graduate seminars, undergraduate courses in lecture as well as seminar format, and language courses. Candidates are expected to have the PhD in hand by the start of the appointment on September 1, 2020.
