Job description

The Philosophy Department at the University of Colorado Boulder is looking for two lecturers for the 2019/20 academic year. Our remaining unstaffed classes for fall include: Introduction to Philosophy; Introduction to Ancient Philosophy; Ethics (also at the introductory level); Reading, Writing, & Reasoning (a first-year, writing-intensive course); and Philosophy & Gender. Available classes for spring are yet to be determined, but are at least partially negotiable. Applicants should be at least ABD in Philosophy, though a PhD is strongly preferred. It is expected that the teaching load will be 3/3, though the structure of the load may be negotiable, as well. The annual pay will be $37,000 (plus eligibility for health care benefits) for someone on a 3/3 load.
