Visiting Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy (AOS: History of Philosophy, with a preference for Medieval Philosophy; AOC: Open), beginning in fall 2019.

Loyola University is a highly selective, Jesuit, Catholic institution dedicated to the liberal arts and sciences, whose primary mission is undergraduate education. The position has a 4/4 teaching load, and the ability to teach a broad range of material, including ethics and applied ethics, is an advantage. The candidate is expected to excel in teaching. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in philosophy, with degree in hand by August 2019, and they must be currently eligible to work in the United States during the entirety of the 2019-2020 academic year. Priority will be given to applications received by June 1, 2019, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
