Short-listed candidates will be invited to interviews, either in person or over the internet. After the interviews, the philosophical faculty will recommend one candidate to the university for approval. The chance that the university will reject the recommendation is low, but not zero. IMPORTANT NOTE: Unlike in many other places, there is a long and burdensome administrative process between the philosophical faculty’s decision as to which candidate to recommend and the university’s decision as to whether to approve the recommendation. It is long and burdensome for both sides, so the recommended candidate should expect to spend much time and effort going through the process with us. People who are unwilling or unable to go through this process should not apply.
