Job Description:

The Department of Philosophy at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking to recruit for five-year position(s) in Philosophy, to begin in Fall 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue an active research agenda. Teaching experience is an asset. English is the language of instruction. The successful candidate will have a teaching-load of three courses per semester, with two preparations, as he/she will teach two sections per semester of AUC's freshman/sophomore level Philosophical Thinking course. AOS and AOC are Open, but the department particularly welcomes applicants with a specialization in Arabic and Islamic Philosophy and/or a teaching competence in Logic.

Requirements:

PhD in hand at the time of appointment.
