Position Description: The Department of Philosophy at McMaster University invites applications for the position of Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in the History of Analytic Philosophy. The Chair must have an area of specialization in the history of analytic philosophy, with particular attention to the role that Bertrand Russell’s corpus plays in this history. The Chair will be expected to maintain an outstanding program of research, to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to supervise and cultivate an intellectual community of graduate students working in this area, to act as Director of the BRRC, to help sustain the collegial atmosphere within the Department, and to help realize the Department’s and the University’s commitment to the goals of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
