Undergraduate and graduate teaching (4 courses/year); Ph.D supervision and usual non-teaching duties. AOS: Open. AOC: Open, but special teaching needs in Feminism, Philosophy of Gender and/or Race, Applied Ethics, Medieval Philosophy, Non-Western Philosophy. Ph.D. by Fall, 2019. The successful candidate will have broad philosophical interests that intersect with those of other disciplines in the College and will be expected to teach in the interdisciplinary First-Year Seminar program. The Barnard and Columbia Philosophy Departments function as a single department for most academic matters.
