Job description |
Teach three courses per semester, undergraduate, expectation of active scholarship, usual service duties. Summer teaching possible. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The Department is hiring a specialist in feminist philosophy, for an assistant professor, full-time, 9 month, tenure track position. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in philosophy. ABD will be considered for a two year contract with a provision that the Ph.D. must be completed by December 2020. We prefer candidates with a solid grounding in the history of philosophy and a commitment to excellent teaching in the tradition of liberal education. We have additional teaching needs in aesthetics, ethics, and professional ethics, and the ability to teach in any of these areas is desirable. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching and/or service.
