Job description

The Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level, to commence July 1, 2019.  The areas of specialization are Theoretical Ethics (metaethics or normative theory) and/or History of Philosophy (up to and including Kant).

A PhD in Philosophy is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research. The successful applicant will have a record of publication appropriate to their stage of career and be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The position will involve graduate teaching and supervision, as well as undergraduate teaching. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is preferred.
