Junior-Professorship for Neurophilosophy (salary level W1)

open for appointment from January 1, 2013.

The candidate is expected to conduct research and teaching in analytic philosophy of mind, neurophilosophy, philosophy of cognition and philosophy of science. Profound background knowledge in the cognitive neurorosciences is indispensable as well as readiness for interdisciplinarily collaboration. Proficiency in at least one further area of theoretical philosophy (epistemology, ontology, philosophy of language,  philosophy of science, logic) is also required.

The successful applicant will be supervising undergraduate and graduate students primarily in the study program "Philosophie-Neurowissenschaften-Kognition" (PNK). Fluent proficiency of German is indispensible for teaching and administration. The candidate is expected to raise third-party funding in the context of interdisciplinary and international research collaborations connected to the current subject.
