Job description |
The School of Arts and Humanities at Stirling is pleased to invite applications for four 36 month, fully-funded PhD Studentships in Philosophy (covering fees and maintenance at current RCUK rates), two for candidates from within the EU and two for candidates from any country. The four successful applicants will research for PhD as members of a collaborative team led by Professor Crispin Wright working in the John Templeton Foundation-funded project, Knowledge beyond Natural Science, which involves parallel investigations into A Priori Knowledge and Self-Knowledge. The project will run in Stirling from March 1, 2017 until November 28, 2019. Closing date: Friday July 8, 2016 |

A covering letter of not more than two pages, outlining your suitability for this Doctoral Studentship and making clear how your research will contribute to one or both of the project’s parallel investigations into a priori knowledge and self-knowledge.
A research proposal of not more than 1000 words outlining your key research questions and their relevance to the project’s agenda.
A Curriculum Vitae.
A sample of recent written work, of not more than 4000 words.
Copies of degree certificates and transcripts.
The names of two referees.
