Visiting Assistant Lecturer, Philosophy Department of History and Philosophy University of New England The Department of History and Philosophy at the University of New England seeks a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Lecturer in Philosophy, beginning August 22, 2016. The position may be renewed based on need. The successful candidate will teach courses focusing on philosophical ideas in a two-semester sophomore world civilizations curriculum and other philosophy courses as needed. The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate will have an area of competence in medical and/or bioethics. In addition to teaching, the lecturer will be expected to participate in curriculum development, recruiting, assessment, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must have attained at least an M.A. in Philosophy (Ph.D. preferred). Candidates must have demonstrated evidence of undergraduate teaching.
