The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a one‐year Limited Term Faculty (LTF) position at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. The Department prefers a candidate with demonstrated experience as an effective teacher of large undergraduate courses, who can provide evidence of currency in the teaching areas listed below, and who has experience supervising grading assistants. The average class size is anticipated to be 150 students; grading assistance is provided. Applicants should clearly identify experience in teaching courses that introduce the discipline of Philosophy to first year students, in addition to experience in all other courses, at any level, related to the areas listed below. The successful candidate will carry out the teaching and service obligations required of faculty members at Ryerson University; there are no research expectations.
