Visiting Assistant Professor, Philosophy and Cultural Studies (EXPIRED)

Marian University invites applications for one fixed-term, full-time faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies, beginning August, 2016. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in undergraduate philosophy. Normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Summer and winterim teaching available.

Ph.D. in Philosophy and teaching experience required. An AOS in social and political philosophy, and some combination of feminist theory, philosophy of race, or queer theory, and an AOC in applied ethics preferred. Courses in the Ethics of Race, Class, and Gender; Social Political Philosophy; and Philosophy of Law may be offered in spring 2017.
