Multicultural Post Doctoral Fellow (EXPIRED)

This position is full-time, academic year, limited to 05-13-2017 with extension contingent on funding approval.  The Department of Philosophy is seeking a one-year Multicultural Post-Doctoral Fellow for appointment during the 2016-2017 academic year. Pending favorable reviews, the fellowship may be converted to a tenure-track position. This position is intended to increase the diversity of the faculty in the Philosophy Department and to advance issues of diversity in research and teaching within academic programs at the University of Rhode Island. Teach a single undergraduate course each semester, one of which should be a course in Philosophy of Race, the other will be determined by the successful candidate’s area of interest and competence. Initiate a program of research. Participate in department and university affairs.
