Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy is searching for a tenure track Assistant Professor to start in August 2016. AOS: Philosophy of Mind or Philosophy of Law; AOC: Open but we have particular needs in Feminism, Philosophy of Race, Biomedical Ethics and Philosophy of Language. California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success.  Position is contingent on funding. 

Duties: This is a full-time teaching position, tenure track, with additional responsibilities related to the academic program. Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in philosophy by the time of appointment, AOS and AOC as specified above, and will be able to make her/his specialized knowledge relevant to the contemporary world and to the lives of a broad range of students in general education courses and students majoring in philosophy.

Salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s education and experience.
