DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

The Philosophy Department at Edgewood College seeks applicants for a tenure-track position beginning in August 2016. AOS: Ethics; AOC: Human Rights, Philosophy of Race. The teaching load is 12 credits per semester, with an additional 3 credits for service and scholarship.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

A successful applicant will have 1) a PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment, 2) a breadth of teaching experience that includes the area of Critical Thinking, 3) demonstrated teaching effectiveness, and 4) clear scholarly promise.

Other Qualifications:

Demonstrate multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways.
