Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall2016. The rank, depending on qualifications, will be Assistant Professor or Instructor; or Associate Professor without tenure, but possibly with a shortened tenure clock. AOS: Open. AOC: Social/Political Philosophy. The department is particularly interested in candidates who can teach upper level courses in social and political philosophy, broadly construed. The teaching load is 3/2 and will include contributions in the College’s general education program, Connections. Franklin & Marshall faculty maintain active research programs and contribute to the College’s shared governance.
