Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy

The Department of Arts & Humanities at Western New England University seeks applications for a one academic year, three-quarter time (0.75), Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor position in Philosophy beginning August 31, 2015. Teaching responsibilities will be 9 credit hours per semester of philosophy courses including ethics, introduction to philosophy and possibly other courses, all of which are aimed at non-philosophy students. Master’s degree in Philosophy required; Doctoral degree preferred. A candidate must submit a cover letter, a current CV, and a teaching statement, along with the names and contact information of three references that can comment on the candidate’s teaching. Copies of past teaching evaluations are preferred. Official transcripts of all course-work in higher education are required, but unofficial transcripts are acceptable during the initial application. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
