Senior Lecturer (EXPIRED)

The Department of Literature and Languages at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Philosophy and Religion Studies starting in the fall of 2015. The Senior Lecturer in this 9-month, annually renewable, non-tenure-track position will serve as the lead teacher in philosophy and religion studies, provide advisement to minors in philosophy as well as in religion and Asian studies, coordinate course offerings in philosophy, religion studies, and Asian studies, be responsible for assessment of core philosophy courses, and serve on committees. Teaching load is 4/4. A PhD in Philosophy with specialization in comparative studies of Western and Asian philosophies, a background in religion studies, and college teaching experience is preferred. Compensation is competitive based on credentials.
