LOYOLA UNIVERSITY MARYLAND. Baltimore, MD. Loyola University Maryland seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Affiliate Assistant Professor (or Instructor) of Philosophy for Academic Year 2015-2016. Primary responsibility will be to teach four sections of introductory level Philosophy per semester. The introductory Core course, PL201, introduces the discipline of Philosophy primarily with reference to its origins in the ancient world. The primary second 200-level Core course, PL202, consists of a follow-up focused on the history of modern philosophy, though a number of more thematic courses are also offered and would be available to candidates for this position. An interest in teaching in a first-year living/leaning program is desirable. Limited non-teaching duties. Candidates with Ph.D. preferred; ABD considered.
