The Department of Philosophy wishes to appoint a lecturer in Philosophy with specialisation in moral and/or political philosophy.

The Warwick Philosophy Department is one of the UK’s leading philosophy departments with 20 permanent members of staff working in a range of areas, and a thriving postgraduate and undergraduate community. In REF2014 the Department was ranked 1st in the UK for research outputs and 4th overall.

We are looking for a philosopher with an outstanding research profile and excellent teaching ability to contribute towards the continuing development of the University’s flagship programme in Philosophy Politics and Economics (PPE). The PPE programme is taught and administered collaboratively by the three contributing departments, and delivers a range of core co-taught interdisciplinary modules and subject specific modules to an outstanding cohort of undergraduate students.

You will have a PhD in Philosophy or a related subject, a track record of high quality research, and a proven excellence in teaching. You will be expected to contribute to core teaching on the PPE programme and to teach moral and/or political philosophy; to contribute towards the administration and strategic development of PPE; and to undertake other teaching and administrative duties as required by the Head of Department.
