Job description |
Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy. One academic year: September 2015 thru May 2016. Six courses per year, undergraduate teaching. AOS: Ancient Philosophy; AOC: Open. Minimum qualifications: ABD with significant teaching experience. The Department emphasizes the history of philosophy and the lively teaching of primary texts. Successful candidates must be fully committed to working with a diverse student population. Also highly valued are a commitment to the goals of liberal arts education and an enthusiasm for interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research. Sample syllabi for Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Ancient Greek Philosophy and other courses representative of candidate's specialties and teaching style are also welcomed.
