Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Arkansas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Philosophy, beginning mid-August 2015. PhD desired, ABD considered.  Preference will be given to broadly-trained generalists with the ability to teach the introductory survey in philosophy and a sequence of undergraduate courses in ancient, medieval, early modern, and contemporary philosophy.  Applicants with a competency in a non-western philosophical tradition and/or the philosophy of religion are preferred.  Arkansas Tech is a mid-sized liberal arts university emphasizing teaching and undergraduate education.  Send letter of application, vita, copies of transcripts, and three letters of recommendation by February 20 to Dr. Peter Dykema, Philosophy Search Committee, Department of History and Political Science, Witherspoon 255, 407 West Q Street, Arkansas Tech University, Russellville, AR 72801.
