Job Title: Lecturer in Philosophy School/Unit: Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies Reporting to: Head of School Job Family: Academic (Teaching & Research) Working Hours: Full time Grade/Salary Range: Grade 7/£38,511-£47,328 per annum Reference No: SB1836 Start Date: 1 September 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter Interview date: expected February 2015. Main Purpose of Role The purpose of this role is to extend and strengthen our research profile in philosophy, whilst contributing graduate and undergraduate teaching of the highest quality. The successful candidate will show potential for excellent research in meta-ethics, normative ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of law, aesthetics, or the histories of these areas, to complement and extend our existing strengths. She or he will offer a range of undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision. She or he will also carry out standard administrative tasks, as required. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates able to teach political philosophy to advanced undergraduate level, but we also welcome applications in any of the areas listed above. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Special Requirements: May be required to teach on the Evening Degree programme.
